Set in seven acres of parkland and located on top of a hill, Le Chateau Du Doux offers impressive views of the Dordogne Valley. Brive-la- Gaillarde Airport (BVE) is 40 kilometres from the hotel, and takes around 40 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features.
The hotel retains many of the chateau's original features, including stone archways, wood beamed ceilings, chandeliers and tapestries above the fireplace in reception. The hotel bar has ornate windows looking out to the countryside, and there are also easy chairs by the fireplace in the library and gardens which extend to an outdoor pool.
Restaurant du Chateau Du Doix is a relaxed, traditional-style eatery with chandelier lighting, a wood-beamed ceiling and parquet floors. Guests are offered a menu of local Corréze dishes, such as Corrézienne Salad and Poulet Basquaise.
The hotel offers a range of culinary workshops including how to prepare Foie Gras; reservations must be made before arrival.
